La Bodega, Khan Market

La Bodega located in Khan Market, New Delhi is definitely worth a visit. Starting from the interiors to the ambience, food, presentation of every dish to the very friendly staff, everything was just right. My friend and I decided to go there for lunch. Since it was a weekday, it was nice and quiet with a few people seated around. Once seated, we asked our server for some suggestions and he was very helpful in recommending certain dishes.

Following are the few things we ordered on our visit here and are definitely recommended:

Frijol y jalapeno en vinagre: A great combination of black bean, pickled jalapeno, some sour cream and fresh cheese on top over toasted tortilla’s. A very different bite size starter which is very appetizing accompanied with some lime slices, sour cream and 2 different types of sauces.

Guacamole traditional: A very tasty avocado based dip with chunks of tomato’s, onion’s, green chilli and coriander served with some tortilla chips, being one of the best and a very light dish to begin with.

Molote de verduras: Mexican dumplings stuffed with seasonal vegetables and parmesan cheese served with jalapeno sauce. The preparation of this dish was very unique and the jalapeno sauce was not very spicy and very flavoursome.

For our drinks to beat the heat we ordered their virgin mojito and Aguas frescas- mexican water in the tamarind flavour which was a very nice preparation and very soothing to the palate. A little pricy to the pocket yet it is still recommended for their mouthwatering food and great service!
